Born in 1999 in the north of Sweden. Since 2024 Malin is based in Cairo and is currently working towards her first solo exhibition. She holds a bachelor’s degree of arts in theoretical philosophy at Lund Univerity. In september 2026 she will continue her studies at Konstfack in Stockholm in order to later receive a bachelor of fine arts. Her work is highly influenced by her philosophy studies. In her practice she targets conflicts in social phenomena and presents them as either a story or a critique. She asks herself the question: how can I compose the image to maximize the narrative power of the social phenomenon? She wants her images to have an informative and direct function. Next to every image she also presents a text. The function of the text is to give support for dialogs. But the texts are not necessary to take part of. She wants the image alone to be sufficient for comprehension. In this way, she hopes that her images are accessible to the masses. Recently she has begun to display more complex social phenomena, mainly by placing a contemporary social conflict in its sociohistorical context. Through research she creates causal links between past and present events and presents it, in its compressed form, to the audience.
